Coranthis

The entrance to Yuscow

Coranthis is an ancient northern empire that has retained their glory throughout the ages. Though Coranthis has gained and lost territory throughout time, its current borders have been set for millennia. Coranthis is a nation of proud nobility and ancient machina. It boasts one of the largest airship fleets in the world, the Coranthic Corsairs, which operates trade routes and defends the nations interests world wide. Rivaled only by Eiroan in use and production of machina, Coranthis has little desire to trade this magical art with other nations, preferring instead to keep this societal and military advantage to themselves.

The Coranthic Empire has influenced the cultural development of the northern nations more than any other. Their language is spoken throughout the north, except in Veldjar, and this culture has produced many magical wonders and terrors over time. The largest and most influential provinces each have a colossal machina defender piloted by the most prestigious machinist sorcerer in the military of the region. These great and ancient magical and technological devices aid in the safety of the citizens of Coranthis defending against attacks from dragons, other nations, and extraplanar or off world threats.

Coranthis is a nation of many micro cultures, though each distinctly identify as Coranthic, including the druids of the Black Forest and the Nasjev of Jurin. A mostly human culture, rarely are other races seen in the cities and settlements of this nation. However, Coranthis currently holds the northern most island territory of Ahnvae as a colony. This strategic location allows for Coranthis to profit off of trade that comes from the Abiaris Ocean into the Eiroan Sea. These colonies also host a greater diversity of races than Coranthis proper.
